Le nom de Monastiria, qui signifie monast\u00e8re, suffit \u00e0 nous faire comprendre que le village est isol\u00e9, calme, serein et exclu. Le nom de ce village s\u2019est r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 \u00eatre une v\u00e9ritable proph\u00e9tie ! Monastiria, le village tinien de Kato Meria, riche de quatre si\u00e8cles d\u2019histoire, est aujourd\u2019hui victime des ravages du temps. Les b\u00e2timents en pierre \u00e0 moiti\u00e9 d\u00e9truits, les maisons abandonn\u00e9es et les rues pav\u00e9es qui ont conserv\u00e9 leur forme initiale nous rappellent que le village \u00e9tait autrefois tr\u00e8s anim\u00e9. Aujourd\u2019hui, il est devenu un lieu de p\u00e8lerinage pour les visiteurs catholiques et les habitants de Tinos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
